In recent months we have had several customers/potential customers ask us about the issue of sending a URL, or link, within their text messages. Some text marketing companies have made claims that this practice goes against the Helferich patent and that if the company (i.e. TXT180) hasn’t paid the licensing fee of $750,000 they don’t have the rights to send links via text messaging. Naturally this is a concern for our sms resellers as well.
